This crow medicine set was created as a small ancestral altar working, a gathering of feather, river stone, rootwood and old path symbols shaped through my connection with crow spirit and the dreaming wildwood.
At the heart of the set is a hand painted river stone gathered from the Sieber River in the Harz Mountains, measuring 10 x 8 cm. Upon the stone stands crow beneath curling branches and old leaf forms, carrying the words:
“The dark wing carries hidden light.”
Crow has long been a guide between worlds , a watcher of shadow, messenger of deep knowing, keeper of what sleeps beneath the surface of the soul. Around the crow are spiral vine forms, symbolising the returning path, ancestral memory and the wisdom that grows through silence and transformation.
The set also includes a handcrafted pendant measuring 17 cm, created from natural shed reindeer antler, driftwood, glass beads and hand-worked wire. The pendant carries the spirit of gathered forest offerings, fallen branch, weathered wood and old bone brought together as a talisman of crow medicine and woodland remembrance.
Included is a polished green gemstone, approximately 4 cm, which appears to be green aventurine. I chose this stone for its connection to heart wisdom, growth, earth healing and quiet renewal. Within crow workings it helps ground insight into the body and gently steadies emotional and spiritual transformation.
Also included is a crow feather and an ancient ash twig covered in lichen, both gathered respectfully beneath a very old ash tree. These pieces hold deep meaning for me. The ash feels like a keeper of thresholds and memory, while the lichen-covered twig carries the feeling of old woodland wisdom untouched by time. Together with the crow feather, they feel like offerings left between worlds,  reminders that spirit still speaks through root, bark, feather and fallen branch.
An A6 hand embellished fine art print accompanies the set, bearing the words:
“Beneath black feather, old knowing wakes.”
