The Rowan Elder – Guardian of Memory
There are trees that stand quietly at the edge of the woodland, watching the passing of the seasons, holding stories older than memory itself. The Rowan has long been honoured as a tree of protection, courage and ancient wisdom, and from this enduring spirit emerged The Rowan Elder.
Hand-painted on a beautifully shaped Sieber River stone, the Rowan Elder embodies the steadfast, masculine spirit of the Rowan. His calm yet watchful gaze reflects quiet strength, resilience and the wisdom that comes only through time. He is a guardian of old paths, reminding us to remain rooted, to walk with courage, and to listen to the ancient voice of the woodland.
Encircling the stone in Theban script are the words:
The wind speaks my name.
The raven knows my song.
Walk gently, traveller.
The Rowan remembers you.
This original artwork measures 12.5 x 8 cm and has been individually painted using professional acrylics before being carefully sealed to preserve its rich colours and fine detail.
