Barn Owl • Oak • The Old Path
A special woodland talisman bringing together the Barn Owl and Oak, both old spirits of the woodland.
I have hand painted a small wooden acorn in soft earthy greens, with a Barn Owl on one side and oak leaves and markings around her.
 Hanging beneath the acorn is a beautiful Gobi agate bead and a natural piece of roe deer antler.
The complete talisman measures approximately 12 cm long.
Accompanying it is one of my hand painted labyrinth stones, approximately 6 × 4 cm. Around the labyrinth I have written in Theban script:
“The old path knows the way.”
The labyrinth is an ancient symbol of the journey inward and the journey home. There are no wrong turns and no dead ends. There is simply the path, winding towards the centre and returning again.
Barn Owl moves through the darkness with quiet knowing. Oak carries strength, memory and the deep presence of the old woodland. Together with stone and antler, they make this a lovely little piece for anyone drawn to the old paths and the wild wood.
