Bear of the Old Woods Wall Talisman
A one-of-a-kind wall talisman created from a beautiful branching piece of naturally shed reindeer antler, hand-painted with Bear, woodland plants and the tracks of Bear moving along the antler.
I wanted this piece to have a very earthy, old woodland feeling. Bear sits quietly within the natural shape of the antler, surrounded by the small plants of the forest floor, while his tracks wander along the branches.
Above Bear hangs a wonderful natural tree pearl, with all its strange knots, hollows and markings left just as nature formed them, and the piece is finished with a carved tree seed bead.
The reindeer antler itself measures approximately 14 cm long, and the tree pearl approximately 4.5 cm. The complete hanging, including the tree pearl, seed bead and hanging loop, measures over 25 cm long.
It also comes with my new Bear booklet, exploring the living Bear, old Bear folklore, our ancient relationship with Bear, Mother Bear, winter and the den, Bear Medicine, tracks, the spirit of Bear, bone memory and the deeper connection between Bear and our own spiritual path.
Made to hang upon a wall or within a personal sacred space, bringing together antler, tree, Bear and the old wild paths of the woodland.
