Blackbird · Fading Song Stone Set
 
A hand-painted set created for Blackbird, carrying the dark feather, ripening fruit and changing song of the turning seasons.
 
The larger Wildwood stone measures approximately 7.5 × 5 cm and is painted with Blackbird amongst red fruit, leaves and blossom. Around the edge I have written in Theban script:
 
Black feather, red fruit, fading song.
 
Alongside it is a second dark stone, approximately 6 × 4 cm, painted with my own Blackbird sigil in warm gold, a mark I created around the ideas of listening, return, voice and the quieter inner life.
 
The set also comes with my Blackbird booklet, exploring Blackbird through folklore and old belief, his relationship with the land and the changing year, and ways of working with his presence through spring, summer, autumn and winter.
 
Two stones, one carrying the bird and his landscape, the other carrying only his mark. A little piece of Blackbird to keep close through the seasons.
