Barn Owl • Follow the Old Path
A special woodland talisman featuring Barn Owl and Oak, hand painted onto a wooden acorn in soft greens and earthy woodland colours.
 Around the acorn I have added little oak leaves, spirals and folk art markings, with the Barn Owl quietly watching from the front.
Beneath the acorn sits a beautiful Gobi Desert agate, followed by a naturally shed reindeer antler point. The complete talisman measures approximately 11.5 cm long.
It is accompanied by one of my hand painted seventh circuit labyrinth stones, bearing the words in Theban script:
“Follow the old path.”
The labyrinth is one of our oldest symbols of journeying. Unlike a maze, there are no choices or dead ends. The path winds slowly towards the centre before leading out again. For me, it speaks of trusting what we already carry within us and following those older, quieter ways of knowing.
Barn Owl brings her silent awareness, Oak the strength and memory of the old woodland, while agate and naturally shed antler bring the earth and wild creature into the piece.
