Lughnasadh Fox – Spirit of the Ember Grain

Self-standing wooden figure | Height: 27 cm

Talisman: 12 cm | Natural reindeer antler, fox bone, and quartz

This is my sacred offering for Lughnasadh, the festival of the first harvest—when the earth swells with golden breath and the fire of life begins its slow return inward.

At the heart stands the Fox of the Ember Grain, a spirit figure born from the threshold between summer’s fullness and autumn’s quiet descent. She is the Watcher of the Turning, the one who walks the borderlands between wild and woven, between instinct and ancestral memory.

painted on wood, she holds in her belly the sacred symbols of sun, seed, and serpent—representing the spiral of life, the deep memory of the land, and the wisdom of the feminine. Her golden ears bear the leaves of the field; her tail curves down into a goddess glyph, womb and root entwined.

Accompanying her is a talisman of power and prayer, created from:

a naturally shed reindeer antler (for endurance and connection to ancestral wilds),

clear quartz point (to amplify intention and carry light),

a piece of fox bone, gifted from the earth, carrying the whisper of the one who teaches when to move unseen and when to strike with purpose.

This is not simply a sculpture—it is a soul ally, a seasonal guardian, a ritual anchor for your Lughnasadh altar. She carries the grain-fire, the ancient knowing, and the spirit of the Earth Mother as she offers her body once again in sustenance and shadow.

Let her stand where you gather your offerings, speak your prayers, or walk your seasonal rites.
