Barn Owl • Sacred Centre
A special woodland talisman bringing together Barn Owl and Oak, hand painted onto a wooden acorn in soft woodland greens, ochre and gold. Around the acorn I have painted little oak leaves, spirals and folk art markings, with the Barn Owl quietly watching from the front.
Beneath the acorn is a beautiful golden Gobi Desert agate, followed by a naturally shed reindeer antler point, all joined together with hand worked wire.
The complete talisman measures approximately 11 cm long.
Accompanying it is one of my hand painted seventh circuit labyrinth stones, measuring approximately 6 × 4 cm. Around the edge I have written in Theban script:
“Sacred Centre.”
The labyrinth is an ancient path that winds slowly inward towards its centre before turning and leading us outward again. The sacred centre is that quiet place at the heart of the journey, a place to pause, listen and simply be before returning along the path.
Barn Owl brings the quiet knowing of the night woodland, while Oak carries deep roots, strength and ancestral memory. The golden agate and naturally shed antler bring their own connection to earth and wild creature.
