Barn Owl • Mushroom • Labyrinth Talisman
A special woodland talisman featuring a little Barn Owl, hand painted onto a wooden mushroom in soft woodland greens, ochres and earthy tones. I have painted tiny leaves, spirals and folk art markings all the way around the mushroom, so there is something to see from every side.
Beneath the mushroom is a natural tree seed bead and a beautiful, highly textured tree pearl, giving the whole piece a wonderfully organic woodland feel.
The complete talisman measures approximately 10 cm long.
It comes with one of my hand painted labyrinth stones, measuring approximately 6 × 5 cm. Around the labyrinth I have written in Theban script:
“Enter quietly, listen deeply.”
For me, the labyrinth is a place of stillness and reflection. A single old path leading slowly inward, towards the centre, before turning and carrying us back out into the world again.
Barn Owl seems very much at home here, a quiet watcher of the woodland and the darker hours, while the mushroom, seed and tree pearl connect the piece back to the forest floor and the small hidden things growing there.
